Unhappy Quick oil filter question - MANN W719/13 vs W719/30

Hi guys,

I am new here and have a quick question

I know that MANN W719/13 is the filter compatible with W126, however today during a routine 10k oil change my mechanic installed a MANN W719/30 oil filter instead and told me they are basically the same.

I searched online and the only info I could find is that the W719/13 is supposed to be changed every 13k while the W719/30 every 30k, I don't know if that info is correct.

Anyway I am changing the oil and filter every 10k so my question is are they indeed safely interchangeable and the W719/30 won't break my engine?

Thank you very much,

Lazlong

I don't remember what I used, but they were black cartridge filter on the m103 engine. 10k is a little long, even at 5k, I remember I always add oil between oil change.
