'91 420-No Brake Lights

Ok, I noticed the other night that all 3 of my brake lights are not working. I have turn signals, but no hazards or brake lights.
So I went to the JY today and got another brake switch. MAN what a pain in the butt that is to get out. And those cars are already pretty much torn apart. I remember what a pain it was to replace my cruise a few months ago.
SO, before I go open the dash up, I thought I had better check here and see if 1-is there another reason that is common to this issue? But I didn't find much in the search.
2- Would it be easier to pull the cluster and do it from that top?? Didn't think of that while I was there with the other ones.
Thanks

Thanks. I will check in to it. But the flasher work on the front end. Just not the rear. So I am not sure that could be the problem. But would be great if it was that simple

It's the FIRST thing I always check ... I believe that the REAR lights are on a separate circuit, apart from the FRONT turn lights, because of the Brake Lights requiring their circuit to be independent ...

Ok I went out and figured out which relay it is. It seems that I do have back hazards, an back tail lights. Just no brake lights. Might be time to take the dash apart. But a little hot here today for that.

Ok So now I have replaced the brake switch on the petal and the hazard relay in the fuse box and now I don't have any lights other than flashers and lights over the plates. Even the light on the front don't work. Just turn signals. WTH?

inspect the Neutral Safety Switch @ the tranny; drivers side ... where the shift linkage enters the tranny.
(Has this car ever towed anything, like any kind of trailer?) ... IF it has (look for where ever a trailer hitch would have been attached), the WIRING for the trailer hitch would have tapped into your brake-lights circuit ... which could be the cause of the problem ...
Bear in mind; diagnosis by remote internet is Horribly Difficult ... without 'Hands-On' references & visual detail ...
