hey guys hows it going, im thinking of getting a 1992 Mercedes-Benz 300SE for my first car, the guy wants to sell it for $2500 aus dollars and the car is in great condition. He was telling me that he thinks the car has only done 160,000 km but on the odometer it says it has done 340,000 but but he said it clocks 2 km for every 1km travelled on the car. and he told me that there is nothing wrong with the engine but some of the electronics need attention, he said "The knob that controls the rearview mirror and side mirrors needs fixing - only works through memory controls."
he also said "Driver and front Passenger window work fine but rear windows although working look like they need adjustments. The cluster dash works intermittently on oil gauge and clock and temp - you tap the screen and it corrects. Seems like something is not connected right."
and on top of that the aircon stopped working but i can buy a new compressor for that if thats all it needs.
im keen to learn about the car and do some services by myself, eg change the oils, replace the ac compressor etc
but is it worth getting for $2500-2000?
