1996 S320 Outside Mirrors
The outside mirror control for my 1996 S320 suddently stopped fuctioning so I cannot fold the mirrors in or otherwise adjust them for rear vision accuracy. Please let me know what the problem(s0 may be. Thanks.

I have had something like that happen a couple times. I think some kid or passer buy knock the mirror glass. I have found if I adjust by hand (push it into place) then it engages and works again. If the mirror will tuck into the car like you would do going through a car wash that also seems to help put things back in line.
I know that’s not a very scientific was to do things but it worked for me.

this may help
i believe it is the mirror motor. easy taking the mirror off, but a pain in the arss pulling the motors and replacing. try buying one from silverstar recycling used, i bought two and had them refinished, and they work perfectly. 150 bucks a piece, not bad
