Angry Valve cover gasket leak...

I just had the Mass Air Flow Sensor cleaned and the PCV hose replaced....and now all of a sudden I have a leaky valve cover gasket....that was not leaking at all before...So my question is...Could it be possible that it was leaking before and just now started leaking onto the manifold by coincidence....OR....is it MORE likely that the moron that cleaned my MAF sensor and replaced the pcv hose did something as to make this valve cover gasket loose enough or something that would cause it to all of a sudden leak?

Well they wouldnt do anything do anything relating to the valve cover for the gasket to blow... Unless he decided that the valve cover would need to be tightened more, causing the already old gasket to fail, which still wouldnt be his fault technically. valve cover gasket is 30 bucks anyway, either you can do it yourself within a couple hours or pay the shop the 1 hour labor to do it for you. youre lucky its a valve cover gasket leak and not anything else. Count your blessings now because the maintanence queen in your car is about to come into full bloom.

Yeah maybe....it was a one owner, an old man, I have the last 10 years of service records, and he never missed one single service, has excellent service history.

yeah. doesnt matter. believe me. not trying to scare you, just make you aware. lowe mileage and serviced regularly helps, but be prepared. soon you will notice things happening to it every month. Trust me, i have 2, and have been around them forever.
W140s encounter the strangest of problems. Awesome cars. Theyre like a good looking beater car that never lets you down, but the repairs will start to pile on you. Im convinced ill keep both my W140s for the rest of my life. but again. be prepared to take it to the mechanic and hearing 'you need to pay 800 dollars because the relay to the fuel pump went out causing the modulator for the heated seats to burn.' or something rediculous that actually happend and they arent making up.

Yeah, I know....I worked for Mercedes-Benz for 2 years...and now work for BMW...but I still have the hook up with the service manager, so I'm not that worried!!

but again. awesome cars. I rather deal with odd problems on my w140s rather than driving another car and it not start for absolutely no reason. Even when the headgasket on my s320 blew, it drove 5 miles to get to the mechanic. the only other type of car i got to beat like that was a 1982 volvo 244.
right now my issue is my s320 not wanting to go over 20mph for the first 5 min of it being on. but after 5 min it acts normal. why? no clue. the benz mechanic is clueless as well. we're thinking its the cats, but it sends no fault codes, so right now im just shooting in the dark fixing random thngs that arent broken, till it works.

I have a valve cover leak which is causing oil leak and then lil smoke coming from under hood while driving once motor get warm guess from oil dripping on warm parts. Is this a issue that need to attend to immediately, can this lead to major problems or expensive?
