W140 S600 Sedan Production Number
I have read on various sites on how many W140 S600 Sedans were made, some say 14, 19 but more cars keep showing up. So I called M/B in NJ to find out the real number. I spoke with Keith who was very helpful, a week later he call back and the REAL number of W140 S600 sedans made were 139.

Standard Catalog of Mercedes Benz - 1990s Production Numbers
Hi, everyone!
I know this is an ancient subject/post, but due to inconsistent and scarce information, I thought I would post figures from what is hopefully a definitive source on this subject:
Title: Standard Catalog of Mercedes Benz
Authors: Jim Luikens & Mary M. Hedberg.
ISBN-13: 978-0-89689-703-8
I strongly recommend the above book, as it contains a wealth of information on Mercedes automobiles from 1946 to 2008. It is a must-own book for collectors and enthusiasts alike. (There is also a convenient price guide on pages 214 to 223.)
Here is the data from 1991 to 1998:
1991:
(1991 data - Luikens & Hedberg, 2008, p. 118)
1992:
(1992 data - Luikens & Hedberg, 2008, p. 120)
1993:
(1993 data - Luikens & Hedberg, 2008, p. 122)
1994:
(1994 data - Luikens & Hedberg, 2008, p. 125)
1995:
(1995 data - Luikens & Hedberg, 2008, p. 128)
1996:
(1996 data - Luikens & Hedberg, 2008, p. 133)
1997:
(1997 data - Luikens & Hedberg, 2008, p. 135)
1998:
(1998 data - Luikens & Hedberg, 2008, p.139)
I hope this post is helpful to those who have wondered so long about the production figures for the 1991 to 1998 Mercs.

Mercedes built more 300SL Gulwings annually in comparison, especially when we look at the 1990s 12-cylinder coupes. Even the 8-cylinder coupes were relatively rare (for example, 888 S500 coupes produced in 1995, or 563 S500 coupes produced in 1997).

Hi,
I do not know where this book quoted gets its information, but that it's incomplete, is for me, quite certain.
It does not even list all models of C/V/W140 produced (like the CL420).
These German numbers, are considerably higher, and should not be too difficult to interpret, even for non-german speaking people;
