i bought the car for a steal from an old guy who was doctor. he had no problem shelling out $$$ to the dealership for regular maint. he also did a number of things such as upgrade suspension, replace hydraulic lines, upgrade AC, transmission maint and hell of alot more. and the best part was he had $20k in receipts to prove it. so it was a no brainer. motor and trans remain bulletproof.
the only thing i've had to take care of was a squeek in the suspension, and that cost me 90$. theres a small knuckle inside the suspension. sometimes the fluid inside the rubber gets low and it starts making some really annoying noise. my mechanic just took siringe full of fluid and injected it and it was gone. usually this is the best way a mechanic can get you to spend hundreds$ on the suspension work.
im hoping to do some minor cosmetic changes this summer. what about you?

when i got my s500 in 09 i had to replace the climate control, dovalve, the four speakers in the back because somebody decided to remove them also the bose amp in the trunk. the wireharness that runs to your alt, starter, was causing my benz not to crank , the interior sunroof grey panel , the two back interior panels with the lights in them because when the person decided to take the speakers, they rip the whole back up to get to them ... neutal safety switch, 2k&n airfilters transmission flush and filter change i got the car for 4700 and with all the work i have done to it the total bill is at 7,150 and the person who had the car before me tryed to put a aftermarket alarm in and ran alot of quickconnects all over the car so i had to chase ever wire down and remove it and the airbag was loose also i had to remove it and tighting the bracket inside the steering wheel and put it all back together and the list runs on and on , i should a got a car report before i bought the car and if i did i would have not got it... but right now its fine execpt it need some tires .... and also my back end squeaks sometimes...

yeah, the S320 with the Brabus wheels look really clean. Im trying to find some mono blocks for my 500 as well. Im still not convonced on the white corners... i kinda like the stock ones. I did want to expiriment and see if I can fit the 97 corner lights on mine...
