93 600SEL V12 value
Hi, was hoping you could help with pegging a value on a 1993 600 SEL V12 with 56,000 miles. Excellent condition, never winter driven and well maintained by the original owner.
Also, do you think it can get a higher price overseas? Not sure if that model and engine was available there.
Thanks

Hi... old thread, but in case you still had the question.
The 600SEL was available overseas. However, they had the 600SE (shortwheel base) as well. 600SEL is 1992-1993 in NA and 1991-1993 overseas.
"Excellent" is a relative term. From what I understand, that is a notch down from mint. Mileage is not high. This can be good, but could also mean that many of the problematic parts haven't been replaced. Pre-facelift (1991-1995) models had many problems. If the upper wiring harness wasn't replaced, you can safely take down $2000-$4000 from the price as that needs to be done.
All in all, if it is indeed "excellent" (1 notch below mint), and the wiring harness has been replaced, probably looking around $8000-$15000 depending on the "excellent". Keep in mind this isn't a 600SL or 600SEC so it won't be priced as one.

I own a "92" 600SEL and replaced the engine wiring harness for $250.00. The harness only serves the fuel injectors, cam sensors and just a few miscellaneous sensors. I discovered mine was bad when I went to change the thermostat! I was horrified! Bosch had a problem with the insulation on just that harness where it just crumbled off. I couldn't believe my car was even running! Didn;t miss or anything! The harness' used to cost around $2500.00 way back when but you can get an actual M.B. original part and packaged in a M.B. package online for around $250.00. It only took me less than 1/2 an hour to change! If you have even the slightest mechanical ability at all, do it yourself!

What do you all think of this car:

Looks really good, but I know that V12 is a beast to keep up $$$.

I would say that the turbo charged v12s will be a collector car
