Is a 96 s320 a good car for long trips?

I have a 96 that has many problems.Im hoping to have fixed. My only concern is once I get them fixed will the car be good for long road trips?Or is it a dumb idea to take this car on a long road trip?I know the coils are a problem on these cars so I will pack an extra one for long trips. What other spare parts should I bring?

if your under 200,000 miles you should be fine, maybe carry a crank, and cam sensor with correct feeler guage if your nervous.

95 S320, 1960 190SL (waiting)
I've driven mine back and forth across the country a couple of times. The range is awesome on these cars. Should be for such a big tank!

Only more comfortable long distance car I've driven is the 300SEL that this S320 replaced.
