Hi all,

Couldn't find a thread for this topic so I just went ahead and created one. I have a 1997 S420 and while driving on the highway my windshield cracked. Unfortunately will need a replacement. I live in the Greater Toronto Area and was hoping if you guys can recommend any shop that you guys have had a good experience with.

I got a quote from McNally Auto. OEM was for 1100, aftermarket was for 330.

To be honest, the aftermarket is tempting because of the huge price gap.

What do you guys think? Your prompt response is greatly appreciated.

Try contacting an auto dismantler and buy a good clean used windshield. Any good independent auto body shop should be able to point you in the right direction and would probably install it for you. Check to see if it is covered by insurance as well.
