1995 Mercedes S500 Problems???
I start up my car and it runs for 20 minutes the most. While the car is running smoke comes from the exhaust with a smell of gasoline. The car shakes then stalls after 20 minutes. However if I push on the gas pedal the car stays running for a little longer. When I try restarting it, no luck. I can successfully start it after 2 hours or so. There is no check engine light on.

Check engine oil for white foam.Sounds like blown head gasket. There are only 3 things that make an engine operate. It must have 1) fuel,2) compression and 3) spark. Diagnose that way. It must have fuel as it runs ( for awhile) It seems to have spark as it runs for awhile, So check compression. What you think is smoke may be stream or burning oil getting into a cylinder. What does temp guage look like at 19 minutes. It may quite due to high temperature. I'm not an expert. Hope it gives you a starting point. Best of luck,Paul W.

My two sense:
If it's spitting white smoke and smells sweet/rich its the head gasket. With white smoke your leaking/burning coolant into your cylinder(s). Bluish/grey smoke your burning way to much fuel. If your spitting black smoke your leaking/burning oil into your cylinder(s) and your piston rings are probably needing replacement.
