Change headlights from left hand to right hand traffic(?)
Hi guys
I live in Europe, and recently imported my W140 from Japan. It is a LHD car, but the headlights are for left hand traffic as in Japan (more precicely "613 LAMP UNIT - ASSYMETRICAL, LH TRAFFIC"). I have to change this to RH traffic to get it throug technical inspection and get plates for it here.
The car is a MY 98, with halogen bulbs.
My questions are:
1. Do i need to replace the whole headlamp unit, or can i just get hold of a RH traffic lens and replace only the lens? Is the lens the only thing creating the pattern of the beam?
2. Are there differences between the MY's? Do I need one from a MY 1998?
Help appreciated Thanks.

I would imagine you'd need the whole lamp.
If they're normal halogen bulbs, it's usually the bit that surrounds the bulb itself that creates the kick up.
I did a quick search and it looks like 1991 to 1998 are all the same..
