I just moved to the Houston area away from my mechanics and would like to find one that is reasonable, knows the w140s well, and does quality work. The dealership said they "hoped someone that has worked on a model that old" was available..

I prefer recommendations anyway to an indie mechanic from the community, so any guidance would be great...

I take my S420 to European Star Motors, very excellent service. No over-charging, they tell you exactly what the issues are and fix what you want.


My S420 is 1998 mint condition, 110K miles. He couldn't believe it. Needed a few things and very reasonable. Has some things done about a year ago, no issues.
