Hello all,

I am in search of a center console for my w140 in the best shape possible. I am looking for a 1998/1999 split version with the pop up cupholders.

Attached are pictures of what I am looking for. Please let me know if you know of ANYONE who has this in their possession! This post will not get old anytime soon, as the center console with the pop up cupholders for my vehicle is extremely HARD to find in decent working condition.

My vehicle is a 1998 s420 with black/black interior. I am looking for a black center console with working pop up cupholders. Wishful thinking, I know, but hitting up the forums is my only shot at this point.

cup holders don't last at all.I totally removed what was left of mine,I've seen them new for $495.usd. Never used,and I use Ebay,ebay.de,ebay europe,and ebay england.

Thanks for the reply! I'm looking for the entire (top) console, with the cupholders, not just the cupholders themselves. I've seen the cupholders themselves on Ebay at that price, but need the original console that beholds them(pictured opened and closed in the attachments). Thanks for the site references, much appreciated, I will visit them for sure and browse!!!

I didn't know the pop up cup holders existed for the W140, what was the dealer price?

The dealer price is anywhere from the mid 500s to high $800s. Ebay prices are fairly decent, but not much lower, which is around $400 ballpark. The entire console is well over 1000, which is what I am looking for, but MB does not manufacture this part anymore. They only manufacture from '97 on down, nothing for the '98/99 version.

So, I am looking for anyone parting out a 98/99 w140 with a black/black center console. I'll take the entire thing and pay up front right away, considering it is in satisfactory condition. It doesn't have to be prefect, but visually satisfactory with the cupholders in working and functional condition. If anyone has that for me to buy, will be a savior!

I never had the center console with the cupholders in mine as it had the cellular phone handset. Always wanted the cupholder model you have pictured above though. There were so many times that even as careful as I was, I spilled coffee on the center console or along the carpet on the transmission tunnel. At least I had the all weather floor mats that kept the coffee off the fabric floormats. By the way, I have a perfect condition center console box with no cupholders, in black. If anyone is interested please PM me.

Has anyone contacted "S Class Eddie" in the Boston area? He is a great source for used 140 parts. I don't allow food/drink to be consumed in my car for the reason just mentioned above.
