600sl BAS/ESP LT ON & NO TRANS GEARS
Help !!!! I've got a 1999 600SL with 42k miles.car was running and shifting great when I parked it,next morning started it and the BAS/ESP lights came on and the transmission won't go into any gears and its not stuck in park.called the Mercedes guru.in town as well as dealer and they are stumped.Has anyone have any ideas???trans.fluid is full and clean & all outside lights work fine. Any ideas of which way to proceed would be greatly appreciated.

Out Of Control!!
The first cheap everybody fix is to disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes---then reconnect----do you still have the issue.
A more professional approach would be to find an indy with diagnostic tools that can read the BAS\ESP modules for faults---and repair---yep this cost money!!

Thx for info.I did disconnect the battery tried turning steers,and spun rear wheels, all to no avail.Guess next step is to drop a few $$ to dealer.I love the car so money isn't an issue, was hoping I wouldn't have to but oh well.
