headlights fuse or relay

Hello,

My right headlight low beam failed and after replacing with a new light bulb I still get the warning message and a non-working light(the left still work). Does anyone know if there is a separate relay/fuse for the each headlight. The owner manual only point to the fuse/relay box without any detail.

thanks

PS. it is a 2001 S430

Low beam, high beam and turn signal don't work

Guys, rather than start a new thread, heres MY problem. My passenger side headlight is not working at all. Does anyone know if theres a fuse or relay that may be causing this? Where would it be located? Thanks for your input.

Enterprise rent-a-car!!!
Head lamps are controled by the front SAM units.
Left unit controls right head lamp, and right sam controls left lamp. Fuses for each are in the top of the sam. If it is a zeon lamp, check the ignitor.

Thanks for the info. damaged. Does anyone have a picture or diagram of the SAM? I really don't have a clue what it looks like.

You definitely need to see the "W220 S-Class Owners Start Here" sticky at the top of the forum. Scroll down to post #36 for a version of the "Encyclopedia" that is uninterrupted by people who don't read.

You will find discussion of the SAM under "Electrical System." SAM means "Signal Acquisition Module." It is in fact a kind of router for switch input, sensor input, and system operation. If you come across discussion of "Electronic Fuse" be aware that they are a component of the SAM, and they are circuits, not fuses in the common usage.
