2001 S500 Transmission Fluid

How do you check the transmission fluid level on the newer "lifetime fill" transmissions? My 2001 S500 had a slight leak from the pan gasket and I would like to add some fluid if possible.

Thanks for the response. How about adding fluid? Done through the same hole?

Take off the air cleaner. On the passenger side, toward the firewall is a tube that extends up with a cap that should either have a black or red locktab.
