S430 TV Tuner for Command System
Hi guys, I'm new to this forumn, i was wondering if anyone knew how to activate the TV tuner portion of the command system, I know in Europe it's automatically enabled, but they disable it in america because it's illegal to have a front TV. I was also wondering if anyone had any old navigation CD's outside of the California / Nevada region they wanted to trade. Thanks a Bunch

However, it is possible to get an aux video input onto the COMAND screen. I've seen it in person, but the quality isn't that great. So, it might be possible to get a aftermarket tv tuner and attach it to the aux video input, but you'll lose the integration and you will need a separate remote to change channels etc

In order to do this I think you will have to have the european s/w installed in your comand [ie with the TV code in it] - Im trying to get hold of a US COMAND unit to play with this [Im in the UK] - there is an outfit [mentioned by Mr Vanos or MBtech208] suggested , search for TV in the forums I guess

Humm, ok... Just wonderin another thing.. I know the command uses a DVD player, in dash, so i was wondering if there were any way of piping that to watch DVD's on the command screen instead of using the AUX input... Also, how do i get to this AUX input? Does that mean i can plug in a DVD player or PS2 into it??? Though i doubt i will. oh and what about sound for the vid, would i need some sort of converter?? just wonderin thanks alot!!!

HUH ? No current production Mercedes uses DVD Nav yet.. All COMAND systems are still CD ROM based.
