Car will not start

hello everyone,
another day I am trying to drive my Mercedes and another issue... what a surprise.
Well, I'm riding my motorcycle to school everyday and therefore, I don't use my Mercedes at all. Battery died and I jump started a few times through the connection points underneath the carpet on the passenger site. I finally got around to it to buy a new battery so I put the car in the garage, left the trunk open, got a new battery. The next day (today) I installed the battery and everything was fine. I took the car for a spin around the block and then parked it in the drive way. I turned the car off. After a few minutes I was trying to start the car again, but it won't start anymore.
The engine is turning over but it won't start. after a few seconds of trying the start automatic just stops. The battery is brand new, got CA 790 (is that too low?), and according to my battery tester, the battery is good.

Does anyone have a clue why the car won't start? Could I have blown a fuse or something? I connected (+) first and then (-).

Please help, anything is highly appreciated.
I already looked at the sticky threat, but I couldn't find anything, search option didn't help either.

Thank you for your help, it is highly appreciated.

Chris

Mercedes
Wait till the car is cold the next day and see if it starts

A car that won't restart when warm after driving , but will restart when cold has a bad cps
Very common and cheap fix

This or you got somewhere an electrical gremlin, that could be caused by moisture...
Do you got moisture in your car, is it a garage queen or a road warrior?

Thank you for your answers.
I already tried to let it sit over night. Same result, it won't start. I also disconnected the battery for 30 min and tried it again. Still won't start.
The car parks outside, but I live in New Mexico and there is not a lot of rain. Even though we had rain for the last few days but nothing crazy.
It might go ahead and change cps because it is only $38.
Any other suggestion?

alright, thank you. I ordered the crank position sensor as well as the cam position sensor.

I'm just wondering, if the crank PS is failing, shouldn't there be some sort of check engine light and a code popping up? I just hooked up my computer to the OBD and there are no codes stored.

Thank you again for all the help

I just hooked up my computer again, opened the live data feed through my obd reader and saw that I have about 180 rpm while cranking. Is the CPS the only sensor that measures rpm or is there another sensor that tells the obd that I have rpm?

Update: I changes the CPS... still wont start.

I recently changed the shifter, ignition, key, and computer. Could it happen that after I switched out the battery, that it lost its data and needs to be re-programmed? I'm just wondering because it started once and I drove it around the block.

Thank you guys, your help is really appreciated
