How do you replace belt tensioner?

The tensioner pulley went bad on my S430. How do you replace the tensioner?
How many bolts are there? I ordered the part. Any advice would be very helpful.

thanks

The tensioner is held on by 2 bolts.. You need to remove the belt and lock the old tensioner in the position the new one comes in using something like a skinny bolt or small metal rod.. An old allen key works well also. Once you get both bolts off, its just falls off and you can install the new one.. The 2 bolts holding it to the front of the engine are E12 (female torx) if I remember correctly..

Just curious, how did you know it was bad? A shop told me I needed a new one around 6 months ago but it was a less than reputable shop..

I heard a noise & I knew it was one of the pulleys. Soon as I took off the belt, the tensioner pulley wobbled.
