W320 Coolant - Visit Workshop
I had a similar thing with my S320 Cdi W220. Check to see if the electric coolant fan is actually working. This is in front of the radiator in its own frame. It is a common problem. It should always be running when the air con is switched on, and runs at varied speeds depending on actual coolant temperature. Not a cheap part at circa £500 but you can fit it yourself with a little patience and gentle manoeuvring past the air con pipes. No need to drain anything, takes about an hour once you get the front under tray off. Good luck!
