Hi, I have a 2003 Mercedes S500 W220, right hand drive. I purchased it as a project car, had a small engine fire. I replaced all the electrics in engine bay, but here is the kicker... I used a 1999 model donor car and as a result the engine harness connector was different. So I had to rewire the connector from the 1999 to fit the 2003. I did the best I can and the engine runs and starts but a few faults. First the throttle DOES NOT WORK AT ALL. Second it has the common ESP fault and a few other minor things. There are no engine fault codes although I did cross two wires (blue and black) going to the throttle wrong initially. So the computer was sending the throttle blue and black power feed somewhere else, and something else was feeding the throttle... Anyway I CAN'T FIND WIRING DIAGRAMS ANYWHERE??? The links on this website don't work. BBB no work, the Russian one doesn't have what I need or couldn't find. Can anyone direct me to wiring diagrams? In particular I need the following;

1. Engine wiring harness for two main engine harnesses so I can verify that every wire going from throttle module and ESP module to the computer is pinned correctly.
2. Computer and ESP module wire diagram so I know what goes to each pin and plug?

Also anyone know if the throttle is not working because the ESP is not working? I have a scanner (icarsoft MB2) and there is NO link communication to ESP module (module dead?). Also on the icarsoft throttle values the voltage changes when I move the accelerator pedal so it is fine, but the throttle values DO NOT move at all (stuck on 4.75v).

Any ideas or wiring diagrams? Thank You.

Hi wallyp thanks but it doesn't work, at least on my computer. The diagrams are too small to read? I can click on it but I can't enlarge it or view it and I can't save the pic and zoom in... Not sure if they need to be purchased or not but it is not readable at all.

I can enlarge the diagrams (crtl +), but you are right -I still can't read them. Sorry. Perhaps more searching might give a site with usable diagrams.

Yeah, I can understand you. Every time I am faced with the problem of repairing the wiring on a car, I am overcome with despair. It isn't easy to find the wiring diagram you need, especially if it's a pre-2010 car. Things are better with newer cars, as you can find the latest diagrams on the official dealer websites or ask the dealerships to give you a copy. I think the solution could be to find people with the same car. If you ask around, they might have diagrams, or they will take apart and check the wiring arrangement on their cars for a fee. You could also ask an electrician. For example, the guys at tidalelectricalservices.com helped me with my wiring. You can order handypersons to repair a car and house wiring at.
