Visit workshop, brake wear code

I have a 2003 S430 4matic. I got the brake wear code last week and did the pads and sensors replacement. But I can't get the alert code to go away. I can press the reset button on the dash and it clears while driving, but returns the next time I shut it down. I've pulled the wheels, and checked the sensors with a meter, and they show shorted, as they should. My vehicle only had sensors on the passenger side, frt and rear pads. Any ideas?

If Sensors are all ok then it could be one of the SAM units playing around, you really need to get connected to diagnostic machine to check, have had the same problem before on a E-class brake wear light on turned out to be the Front Sam.

What is a "SAM" unit? When the warning went off, I did check the pads, and one sensor had indeed contacted the rotor and opened up.

if you replaced the pads and sensors then the brake wear light should go away, if not then you might check the connections of the sensor and see if it is in all the way.
