Where are you located? If in the USA you have to set it to the time zone that you're located in. Also, set it to the 12 hour format.

I have to go through this every time we switch from daylight savings time and back I suppose everyone does. My car has keyless go (don't know if yours does) and I tried setting it without using the key just by hitting the keyless go button to the second position without starting the car. It would reset and about 5 minutes later it would change back to the old time. Finally i used the key in the second position (just before starting the car) and everything works just fine.
If you have already tried that and it continues to revert back to German time you might try stopping by a MB dealer in the area and see if they will try and set it for you at no cost. Sometimes on a good day they might do it as a freebie or find someone with a Star diagnostic system and have them reset it for you.

The 2006 accepts and retains time change entries without inserting the key if it has keyless go. My wife's stopped accepting any time changes, as well as CD load malfunction, the dealer was able to fix it by reloading the software with a STAR computer. My 2006 began reverting to German time every time the car was shut off. In addition all memory entries and presets were lost. The only fix for this was a rebuild through a private shop or buy a new unit. I chose the new unit.
