Hi guys, Have a 2001 S55 AMG Had a loud cooling fan assembly in the car so I replaced it with **GASP** an aftermarket unit. New one from Mercedes was $1200. The aftermarket fan installed terrific and worked flawlessly for 6 weeks. My wife came into the house and told me my car was making a noise in the drive. Went out to find the electric fan unit still running several hours after shutting the car off. Unplugged the fan to avoid a dead battery. I'm wondering if the fan unit has built in relays/controller and I need to replace this "new" unit, or is there a controller elsewhere that I should investigate first? Stuck relay, prob why the last one burnt out or went bad.
