2001 S430 Airmatic Noise

Hello:

This S430 has an intermittent noise that occurs when driving. It also happens when the Airmatic button is pressed on the dashboard. Once the button is pressed, a few seconds later it sounds as if the pump is running, but it doesn't sound normal. It's very loud.

I ordered a new relay and all fuses are fine. Checked the tops of the air struts and they don't appear to have cracks in them.

I don't know if the pump is about to blow or what. The car is not rubbing against the tires or anything like that; it also is not unusually low. I don't believe any of the struts are bad, I just feel like it has something to do with the pump or the air connection somewhere along the way.

I can take a video of the exact problem in the morning to help further diagnose the issue.

Thank You & Have A Good Evening.

The pump is attached by rubber grommets, they might just be lose. You can try tightening them .
