S430 Ignition and instrument panel problems
I have some issues with my 2002 S430.
The first issue is with the igntion and the x4/10 terminal at the passenger side footwell and the small fuse blew but I can't seem to figure out how to take out the terminal to replace the fuse. I know that the x4/10 terminal is the issue because I gave the smaller fuse curent and now the ignition works.
The second issue I have is with the instrument cluster. All other lights work now, even the steering wheel buttons, just not the cluster itself. But before I buy I a new cluster I want to know if it might be a fuse or a module that is blown, but I do not know where the power module for the instrument panel is.

Welcome to the forum Shwanzee. You will find lots of very useful information on here and some very knowledgeable people that will often save you lots of money.
I'm not sure exactly what you are referring to when you say the X4/10 terminal. However, there are a collection of fuses in the dash on the passenger side of the car. You have to carefully pry off the end of the passenger side dash to gain access to those fuses. A fuse chart will show what fuses are located in there.
As far as the instrument cluster is concerned there is lots of information on here relating to that subject. Mercedes had a recall several years ago because the clusters were prone to failure. You might want to go here to read up on some of the information. https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w...tart-here.html

Okay round 2.
This is the x4/10 terminal I was talking about.
(Image is of a uk x4/10, it's on the right side)

Turns out I need to replace it.
Now about the cluster, I bought a working cluster to see if the old one was bad, but neither work; I think that the problem is that the terminal is not getting power. I just can't seem to figure out where it's power relay or fuses are. I tried ibeforreal's link, but I just ended up more lost.

The fuses for the instrument cluster are located in the passenger side (USA version) of the dash. Here is a picture of the fuse location. That cover pries off with a small screw driver.
The fuses are F79, F84, F85.
