Hi guys, can anybody in the Atlanta area help me change the plastic lever in the shifter unit?
The car is a 2003 SL55 AMG but I know this forum has had similar experiences with the stupid plastic lever.

It was stuck a few days ago and I managed to put in neutral and I have the center console disassembled. I can order the lever online. Local shops want 400-600$, and rather pay somebody who has done this before for to help me through it. I'm willing to drive anywhere locally or at my place towards Peachtree City. I have actually seen a "how to" but don't remember if it was on one of these forums or on you tube. Do a search on "Stuck in Park" and you should be able to find it. From what I saw it was not very difficult to do. Did you get the replacement part yet? They are all over ebay.

Man, I just moved away from Atlanta last month, I would have done it for free for you. Just remove the entire broken piece and don't worry about replacing it..
