trunk lock

I've tried unsuccessfully to unlock my trunk with the metal key on both of my key fobs was working now will not work is there any way to reset the lock not frozen ive tried heating lock heating key nothing works except the remote please help thanks in advance

I believe you have to insert the medal key and sort of push it up and turn counterclockwise.

No he was trying to be helpful. The W220 trunk key is not operated like a standard lock, and many of our new owners do not know how it operates. It must be pushed in (not standard); and turned one way, it opens the trunk; turned the other way, it disables the pneumatic release mechanism for valet parking security.

Try pushing down hard on the trunk lid as you operate the key.

Thanks Wally I will try again today I also read I could do a reset by removing the yellow fues
