Changing brakes,which manufacturer is best?

1. Do I have to change my rotors?
2. Which brake manufacturer is best keeping cost in mind?

I saw some from advance auto starting a $30is (front) and back.that's the Car quest brand.

Zimmerman coat Z rotors all around

OEM Mercedes pads all around

Fun fact: OEM MB front pads are made by Brembo, so is the front four piston caliper. Because racecar.

Change ur rotors if they have grooves and or a lip on the outer edge. Dont forget to get (4) new rotor screws and to pack on the disc brake quiet paste on the back of the pads generously!

I agree with the Zimmerman rotors all around and akebono pads. I have chrome wheels on my car and the akebonos are damn near dust free.

I do have the Akebonos on my wife's X5 and there is literally no dust but as far as bite goes Nothing comes close to the oem's.

Personally, I would stick with the OEM pads and rotors. Benz OEM pads are organic, thus give you more brake dust. Ceramic pads give less brake dust and wear down the rotors more evenly. They also last longer and tend to be more expensive. Also, brake and rotor recommendations are best when we know how you drive your Benz!! DO NOT GET THOSE BRAKES FROM ADVANCE AUTO FOR YOUR BENZ!!!!! Go Brembo, if not OEM. Also, you don't need to change the rotors unless you see or feel grooves in the rotors (uneven) or have an overhanging lip on the rotor!

Akebono pads here are great and definitely good for low dust. Also look into the OEM supplier pad as well. I always replace my rotors when it's time to do my pads, just as a personal preference.
