Muffler delete question

Hello everyone! I want to make the S430 sound like a S55 at high rpms. Would a muffler delete be good? I don't want any droning at 80mph. over 3000 rpm I want the car to sound a bit louder. And any downsides to this? I.E Lower MPG Bad for engine.

straight pipe is too much. I think i will be taking both resonators out. Any downsides to that?

One of the resonators is for the cabin....

Oh really? I didn't know that. So if I want more sound just at the higher rpms. Which resonator do I take out? I'm not familiar with the exhaust system. Is it two separate systems or is there an x pipe somewhere

My cabin resonator is removed on my cl500 and I love it . No sound when cruising but a nice note when working the engine at high rpm

I've seen w220 with both resonators and mufflers deleted and they sound good if you want others to hear your exhaust outside . It's still quiet because you keep the catalytic converters

Don't mark my word but I think you delete the second Resonator if I remember correctly.

Not sure about the X pipe, but I am 85% sure there is one.

Tusabes, When i'm at the shop, what should I say to get the cabin resonators removed? Does both sides share one resonator? or will I have to remove two.

That I don't know , the previous owner removed them and I've never been underneath.

You missed the crossover between the second cat and resonator my friend.

PS: I have my mufflerd removed from my S600 and LOVE the sound.

A little loud when cold, but really don't notice it at all crusing. Foot to floor makes a nice impresion with my neighbors

Yeah that v12 roars! Ever thought of putting a F1 exhaust on it?

But I want my exhaust to be pretty much stock sounding, UNTIL the gas pedal hits the floor.

this car is the reason why I wanted a w220, not every persons cup of tea the way the owner modified it.
but WOW does it sound sexy.

v12 s600

custom (at the time) equal length headers which I believe can be bought now from japan, straight piped exhaust.

Only in japan

You aren't going to get that formula 1 sound from the v8 or even the turbo v12

Only the original non turbo v12 can sound like that .
