2 second no acceleration after cold start only
2004 Mercedes S430 722.9 trans 210k miles
What I know:
This problem will only happen during the first few miles after a cold start under more than 20% throttle starting from a full stop, you will experience no rpm & acceleration change for about 2-4 seconds. This wont stop the car from moving forward at idle or very light throttle.
My first thought is the APPS Part Number 2203000104 has gone bad but since this only happens after a cold start I'm out of idea's.
What's good:
No motor or trans codes via SDS
Mass Air Flow & Elbow seals
Fuel filter
PCV hoses
spark plugs
motor mounts
Air filters
Mixture adaption
AGM battery
Any ideas?

In a maybe unrelated note, tested fuel pressure. Fuel pressure failed to hold Residual Pressure after 30 minutes at 36psi, after 30 min fuel pressure was at 30. Maybe some leaking injectors?

The W 220 accelerator pedals were notorious for failure. Could be bad or corroded areas of the rheostat. Just my $.02.

Fuel rail pulled, no sign of leakage.
New apps installed, 4 cold starts so far and I haven't been able to simulate the problem. Assuming the new pedal fixed the problem its still hard to wrap my mind around why it was only acting up after a cold start, I'm guessing the high mileage motor exacerbated the problem.

Apps didn't fix the problem. I was able to give it about 90% throttle during the problem, still no codes. New trans filter and fluid coming up.

Step one: Make sure doors are closed radio off climate control off nothing on.
Step two: Put the key in and turn it ONCE. Not the ON position but the ACC position.
Step three: Push the gas pedal to the floor also pushing the button at the end. Hold that for 20 seconds.
Step four: With the gas pedal to the floor, remove the key and sit in the car for 2 minutes.
Step five: Test out the car.

I believe the solution to my problem was a transmission filter and fluid change.
I've never had any trans problems with this car. When the filter and fluid was changed it was apparent that who ever serviced the transmission in the past over filled it by at least 2L.
