Trying to Lower my W220

I have 20inch wheels on my W220 and i am thinking of lowering it via lowering links. However in my front wheel wells I have this huge bolt that is right over my 2 front tires. If I was to lower my ride this bolt is going to shread into my tires as soon as I hit a bump. How is everyone getting around this? I have seen MANY W220s lowered but I have no idea how they are stopping that bolt from hitting the tire. Is that bolt static or does it move with the tire (up and down). Or do you have to remove the whole assembly just to lower the front of the car. Thanx for any help given!!

That bolt is part of the control arm and moves with the suspension. It will not hit your tire. I have 20's and am lowered on links about 3 inches. You'll be good.

Aftermarket front adjustable links. Rear is adjustable the way it's designed from the factory.

Hey Lifeforce, I'm curious what size wheels and tires you run?

Cheers, Nick
