DRL automatic relay install location?
I am going to add some led DRL and have a automatic relay. It requires a direct connect to battery and switches on by sensing a voltage change. Install directions say to connect to +/- on the battery. This would normally be a simple connection, but with the battery in the back it adds a challenge. Would there be a easy location in one of the fuse boxes to tie in or Should I look at jumping off the alternator wire that feeds too the battery?

you can add DRL from a selection in the instrument cluster (see the OP manual).
adding led independent circuit sounds very difficult.

I found a empty socket on the fuse block in the left (drivers side) engine bay box. + on the block as the is an inline fuse. The - was jumped to a ground wire. I also did a pass-though out of the box.

I have given it a few days and everything is working as it should with this automatic relay. The relay is triggered by a change in voltage when you engage the starter and turns off about 10 seconds after you turn off the car. The relay also has a wire that will trigger dimming of the DRL if you hook it into your running (parking) lights when they are switched on. I used a spade connector to the fuse box open terminal for the +. The relay has a 5 amp inline fuse. The - was tied in with a quick splice connector on the black wire in photo.

Update-- I was still getting some issues with the + power location in that the Automatic relay could get confused and not seeing the starter voltage spike and not always tuning on. I then ran a wire down to front passenger floor board main power tie in. It is now triggering the relay all the time. I am running some "8 led DRL L shape".
