03 s600 throttle body issue
Hi to everyone,
I just purchased a 2003 s600tt with 94k miles on it from a dealer.
I test drove the car and fell in love with it. I took the car for about a good 20 min, let it rip a little just to fell the power, everything was fine no codes and so I purchased it.
On my way home all the sudden the car started to shake and the ESP malfunction came on. Took it to a local shop to connect to a computer and they told me it was the throttle body actuator.
I spoke with a service rep from Mercedes, he recommended that I should open the throttle body and try to clean with brake fluid.apparently they r known for this throttle body issue. Just was wondering if anyone had an issue like this and how did it get resolved?
Thanks

Correct Tusabes, brake cleaner not fluid. So I tried to clean and still same thing. Shaking at low rpms, ESP light and safe mode.
I have no more patients with this and decided to buy a used one since a newnone cost $1600. Will upstate when it comes

Don't know myself, but what my local shop told me is that the car has a throttle body actuator problem and the computer is making the car go to ESP safe mode from improper throttle reading. How true is this I have no idea

Hi everyone again
Update on the issue
Just changed the throttle body actuator with same part # started the car, still same issues.
Went to my local shop to clear the codes, no luck there
Car symptoms= when starting car is shaking, press on the gas seems to be fine and 7 sec later the ESP light goes on with pre-safe inactive
Read the codes it was c1041-002 can message 47-5
Also showing me the exact throttle body actuator code also
I've changed the actuator so I know nothing is wrong with it
I've checked all the fuses, everything seems fine next step thinking about replacing the ESP module
Need help!!?
Thanks again
