$900 spent and no better off

Well, I ordered the bluetooth B67875855 after seeing others had success with it, and after plugging it in, my phone recognizes and pairs with it just fine, but the car doesn't play the audio over the speakers. So, it's currently relegated to being a blinky light in my center console.

I also ordered a new key. After being told it would cost $400 but come programmed, I ordered one. And then it arrived and they said it would require programming to work, so I paid the darn $160 labor, finishing it at home. Well, it starts the car and the fob buttons work but still no keyless go. I checked the fuse and it seems fine. Thought about leaving it pulled, since that gets rid of the irritating 'Don't forget your key' message. I checked, the fob I got is the factory all black one with one battery, which from what I've read indicates it's the right one.

I can't start the car with the button right now, since it turns out the mallet I had to use to get it unstuck from park for that repair also resulted in pulverizing the little chip under the button. I'm not going to bother fixing that until I know I can get the key to work properly, though.

Anyway, anyone got any ideas? I'm waiting to hear back from the dealer. The only thing I can find is that the key may not have been properly programmed by the dealer to act as a keyless go key.

Well, the key was solved. Turns out they did in fact put it in the wrong slot, so putting it in the right one gave it keyless go functionality. The down side is that they found out the lock button on the driver's door doesn't work, but unlock does. So, now to figure out how to fix that. Bluetooth still doesn't work, though.

Version coding, that's what I need, apparently. Now to figure out who has STAR around me in Maryland, because this going to the dealer thing and hang out for three hours is getting very old.

Call independent shops around you as well. My Autel scanner does all the variant coding for my 04 S600. It probably has to be their higher end one that does programming though. A lot more shops probably have something like that than MB specific ones.

So, quick thing. My voice activated function also doesn't work. Actuate the stalk, and nothing at all happens. Is that from the same coding thing?
