2003 s500 locking system issue

Having an issue with my s500. When I go to use the locks on the inside or on the key fob nothing happens. It makes the noise like its going to but still nothing. When I hit the lock or unlock on the key fob it just flashes the lights like normal.

Where can I start to look for the issue?

Thanks in advance

You can't, the central locking system consists of 15 components and without the diagnostics and ripping the car apart you will never locate the source---find someone with DAS or equal and your problem will be identified in five minutes!!

Take Plutoe's advice. Does the trunk open and close? Although the PSE pump may be the problem they are not cheap. Better to spend a $100 or so to locate the source rather than throwing different parts at the problem.
