2003 Designo S600 up for sale
Charlotte has been a hell of a car to me, but I think it's time to move on. I know everyone on here appreciates the W220 like I do, and I want her to be taken care of like I have.
Here is a link to my CraigsList ad for anyone interested:

Also, any recommendations on a replacement would be lovely. Currently a C6 Corvette is top of my list, but I could maybe think about an SL.

Why not a 996 911? Prices are as low on those as they'll ever get, and there really isn't a better driver's car. Always wanted a 911 myself, but the right V12 came along first last time I was shopping, which was also on the bucket list. 2003 or newer are the better ones, but the older ones are still very good if the IMS has been taking care of.

The XLR-V is an option or an SL55, then. Both are good, but the SL is better, if more expensive to keep up. An M3 or M5 are also bonafide street terrors. I loved my CTS-V, but it wasn't quite as polished, although it was very cheap to maintain.

Sounds like you still want to hold on to her. Check out this ad: http://seattle.craigslist.org/est/cto/5771365875.html
I'm looking at an ABC conversion from Strutmasters and would love to do a straight swap with you. You can use the 05 S600 with Strutmasters as your sell pitch. DM me if interested.

Older M5 or later M3 was kind of in the back of my head too. I've never been a fan of BMW, but I could maybe give them a try.
Jag F type would be another good one too, but they haven't dropped in price enough yet. =/

I Know it's not a C6, but I like my Camaro. They are cheap, easy on insurance, and trouble free on maintenance and repair. Your choice of manual or auto transmission.

You have been spoiled by the w220. All American interiors will see cheap and plastic like now. How about an Aston Martin DB9? A 06 Base (6.0L 5935CC V12 GAS DOHC ) is in the $40-$50k range.

Excellent car, eldos, but that's a whole different budget. I have American cars now, and my current Mercedes, past D4 A8, and XJR haven't ruined them for me.

How was the XJR?

Loved it. Good combination of power and comfort, surprisingly agile. Lighter on it's feet than the big Benz, or A8. Electrics tended to be less intuitive, but you get used to it. Back seat wasn't as big. Didn't see any of the reliability issues they're famous for, but I only had it a year. Narrow footwells and a job requiring boots meant I couldn't drive it to work. My foot got caught under the brake pedal too easily when transitioning from the gas, made it dangerous. I think they adjusted the footwells in more recent years.
