2005 MB S430 Problems
I would not recommend anybody to buy a Mercedes. What a crap my 2005 S430 has been; same goes with 2006 S430. Currently I am having locking problems. Pressing the central or the remote button, hear clicking noise coming from the left side inside the trunk. You cannot lock the car and self closing door functions are gone. You press the lock button (which does not work) and open the door, alarm will sound which will go away by pressing the lock button on the remote. Another problem I am having is speedometer needle does not show the same mph as the digital. Any suggestions?
Problems: changed the command system three times and the current one is showing a lot of pixels missing. Sensor for the interior temp went bad. Changed instrument cluster three times and the current one stopped showing clock/gear select and outside temp combined with wrong speedometer. Changed three times the AC fan regulator. replaced the right door module that controlled window and seat functions.

So...come here to vent or looking for help? All those repeat replacements makes me assume a combination of used, rebuilt, or Chinese parts and bad luck. How long after buying them did these issues present themselves? When it comes to repairs, the quickest way to spend a lot of money is to try to save a dime, whether by going to the cheapest shop or using the cheapest parts. With your issues, it sounds more like the shop doing the repairs is the problem, either from their parts or methods or both.

Who is doing your diagnostic work?
The locking is likely a leak in the PSE system that's caused a fuse to blow or the pump to shut down in self-protection. Be thankful for that...the pump is nearly $800...so you want it to shut itself off while someone properly troubleshoots the leak.
Pixel failure? I would replace the unit, too, but you clearly are swapping in used parts over and over and expecting a different result.
