S600 trunk won't open or close
Hey members. I have been having an issue with my trunk not opening on my S600. I have replaced the latch as well as the PSE pump as of today. Both brand new items from the dealer.
I also serviced the hydraulic closing/opening pump by the battery by refilling the reservoir with transmission oil. It was working to close the trunk even though I had to open it with the blade key.
Now as of today when I replaced the PSE pump (pulled the fuse in the rear footwell fuse box and continued replaced the pump) the hydraulic pump isn't working to open or close the trunk anymore AND the latch still won't unlock from the key, button, or driver button. No button is closing the trunk either.
What should I do? I don't have access to stars.

Have you tried pulling back the insulation/panel covering inside the trunk on the driver's side and checking to see if there is a broken wire?

There's currently no carpeting/insulation in my trunk at the moment. All wires are looking good. The only thing I can think of is that an air line is plugged up. If I disconnect the HEK labeled yellow line for the trunk latch, and the yellow air line from the latch itself, should I be able to blow through it?

Have you tried pushing the trunk emergency release button? Maybe it somehow got confused. It is the green circular button on the inside of the trunk lid.
If that doesn't work, try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes and see if it triggers something when reconnected.

Just wanted to give an update that the heat from the trunk lights had melted the air hose controlling the trunk latch, and air wasn’t able to pass through. I cut the melted part off and patched it back together with air-hose from my aquarium. So far so good, it’s been a year with no issues.
