Question Driver Side Seat Heater Problem

My seat heater is inop. It is the heater part apparently so I have a couple of questions.

1. If I buy a kit with 2, should I reuse the back which is good or change both?

2. What kit to get? I talked to heatedseats as some have mentioned but they said they don't make it for a W220. Anyone know which one they got for an 04 S500 4matic? Thanks

This sounds like a bad idea to be honest. Get factory parts

Problem is that this is an 04. If you change the seat, it won't match the back or the seat and back of the other seat or the back. Not sure and it seems like an all or nothing problem. I wish I could see how to change just the seat and have it matched to the rest of the car.

Thats usually what happens with a 12 year old car. If it is light colored it won't take too long to dirty it up to match the rest.

You can't that I know of. In this model, it is sewn into the seat cover. So an option is to find one that does NOT have it sewn in and take the current cover out, remove the pad and sew this one in if we don't have to cut the pad.

I was thinking of getting either an MB pad from the dealership for another car and sew it into this one or get an aftermarket pad to do the job. So if someone knows the part number for either or the both options, I'd be obliged.

Only reason I don't want to change the leather is how to get all 4 pieces of the front to match not to mention the rear. Kinda a waste since the other 3 pads are fine and all the leather matches.

Mercedes said that if we replaced the seat leather, it probably wouldn't match the seat back or the other seat and the back set.

I'd personally rather have a seat that looks brand new than have an old looking one that has an aftermarket pad stuck under it. I can't see the finish being nearly as smooth either. There is a reason mercedes integrates it into the cover.
