2000 S500 bad squeak in front suspension!
THE PASSANGER SIDE FRONT SUSPENSION HAS A SQUEAK WHEN YOU HIT A SMALL BUMP OF ROCK THE CAR UP AND DOWN AT A STOP. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT THIS COULD BE OR HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM?

2000 S500
I had the same problem a few weeks ago and it is terribly annoying. It's the lower ball joint. You can get rid of the squeak temporarily by spraying WD-40 on it, but you'll need to replace it as soon as possible. The part is about $60. and it takes about 2.5 hours (per side) to install it. The dealer recommends changing both sides at once because you will need an alignment afterwards.
