The rear passanger vanity mirror is leaking water when it rains, I am almost positive it is coming from the sunroof. Some one told be to check the drains in the sunroof. I located the front drains, but the rear drains i can not access because the sunroof is in the way. Can any one tell me how to access the rear drains to blow compressed air through them. Or tell me what the problem could be. Does anyone know where them drains drain out under the car?undefined

noticed the same, my three year old was sitting in the back seat on the way back from san diego saying "it's raining daddy". yea no kidding, take a nap it's a long ride!. 2 minutes later, "it's raining inside the car daddy". WTF!, turn around and sure enough it is dripping from the rear seat passenger vanity light. ill get out the star service DVD and see whats up but just hoping someone has "been there done that" and could relay the fix.

the drains for the sunroof need to be cleaned or the seal for the sunroof is worn out

did anyone find whats the problem coz mine did that but for some reason it stopped i did check the drains and cleaned up idk its weird

Mine has rust at the driver front corner where the sunroof meets the body.

I just cemented it and called it a day, no more leak.

but mine has no rust around the sunroof but i guess it doesnt leak now so ill worry when it does again

I might be able to help you here.

I had the same thing on my 220 320 Cdi and water was also coming through the front roof light.

The mild steel down pipes between the front drain holes in the Sun roof had corroded away. I had new steel tubes welded in on both sides at the front ( This involved taking out some interior trim).

What happens is the water can flow back towards the rear drains which can't cope and water gets through the rear vanity light.

This repair cost me £320 but it is now completely dry.

Before getting it checked make sure the front drains aren't blocked by pouring water down the drain holes, it should come out in the front wheelarch.

One last thing the sunroof specialist who sorted my car out said almost all the water drains through the front two drains.

All drains come out in the wheelarches
