We just installed a wood leather steering wheel for a nice S550 today!
Car came in
Took the OEM wheel off
installed the new wood/leather steering wheel
About our steering wheel
1 built on OEM Mercedes cores (NOT aftermarket core)
2 OEM shape of wood inserts on top (the square corss-section), full bottom wood spokes. aftermarket wheel has rounded cross-section top, that is not how Mercedes made it!!
3 NAPA leather same as used on top of line Mercedes and Disigno models

Hello. How much to just redo the leather on the sides? Mine are a little worn out.
Also do you purchase the core steering wheels? I have a black all leather core from my 2007 w221 just collecting dust.

Hi. I'm interested in that exact same steering wheel, same color, etc. I took a look on your website, but couldn't find it. What's the cost to purchase and have it installed? I'm in Tracy, so I'm about 1.5 hours away from you.
Thanks,
Mike
EDIT: Nevermind.. I see $799 shipped. I'll contact you guys directly.

#2. I really wanted a car with one, until I realized that the ONLY portion that is heated is the LEATHER portion only on the wood wheel! I never hold the wheel where the leather is anyway, so it was really pointless.
#3. No one has a wheel that heats where the wood is. I find this very funny. That can't be that hard to do, but still, no one has done it. I remember years ago if you wanted the heated wheel option in the X5, they took the wood wheel away completely, and your wheel was leather only.

Actually Jason.
Im at MD rightnow where the weather outside is about freezing point,
Even with the heated leather only portion, i would have hated myself without it.
Also surprisingly i can drive the car very comfortably with my hand(s) on leather portion only!!
