Personaly if I were to get rims that big, I would upgrade brakes because it will look like pinto brakes compare to the size of the wheels. If brake upgrade is not an option I would go with the multi spoke design you got in the first pic. It looks a little classier and will not make the brakes stand out as much.
Again, my opinion.......

Thats one of the reasons why I didn't go with 5 spokes wheels. The brake show too much?

First welcome to BenzWorld!
22" CV3s arrive in 2 weeks! S-class photoshoot coming soon! http://www.vossenwheels.com/wheels/VVSCV3.aspx I'm sure you have seen our current S-class gallery http://www.vossenwheels.com/gallery/...S%20Class.aspx ![]() ![]() It all depends on what look you want. 5 spoke wheels are a classic look that is more sporting like our CV3. For a more luxury look that blends sport, the VVS 082/83 fits the bill. |

Perfect example. Go here and look at images 2 and 3. Now imagine if it was a 5 spoke wheel and how brakes would be much more visible

Went to a wheel shop and was told that the inside of the wheels need to be fixed which is not a problem only like $100 so I ordered 2 new tires from tirerack, but the outside of the wheels by the actual face are slightly bent, was told by the body shop it wouldnt leak and could just leave it like that..

sir,
you do not need merely just rims, you need some taste. you have ruined the prestige which comes with a mercedes benz s class by adding such tacky after market offerings to the vehicle. you must not only be a newbie to this board, but a newbie to money as well. |

I believe those are the Asanti AF128? That was one of my all time favorite. They make these in either 2 or 3 piece wheels.

Do me a favor and others on this board and save your derogatory comments for some other boards. Your negative comments are unjustified. There are enough of that nonsense all over the place and we don't need it from you or stupid comments posted here to create fires. By the way, stop being such a hypocrite, you started this thread and said why are people insulting one another: whats happened? I've been on this board for quite some time, and this is one of my favorite places on the internet, not only because its a place to talk about a great set of vehicles, but its filled with people whom can relate with one another. Though lately, i must say, this board has turned into a cat fight between a bunch of women whom all want to have the best hand bag, in their afternoon tea parties. I dont know about the consensus of the rest of my fellow posters, but i dont care whether or not one has a certain car or if one has a certain income, as long as he or she is talking and making informative posts about the vehicles we all love, and enjoy to talk about. And this one started by you? S550 on super sweet sixteen where you say: some 15 year old kid got a brand new s550 for his 15th bday present.......nice present if you ask me....It doesnt beat my 07 S600 for my 18th bday Sure then about 170+ people chimed in on the thread insulting one another and started to talk about spoiled brats where you just sat back and let everyone at it. So now people want to hook up their cars and ask for opinion and that gives you the right to insult someone and talk about their money? Obviously, your existence here on this thread and other threads serves no value whatsoever to this forum. Last edited by mb550boy; 03-20-2012 at 09:43 PM. |

The wheels are not the same? if you look at the pic closely, the wheels on the car has a small hole between the wheel bolt holes. Also the spokes are more straight rather than having a curve compared to the other wheels?

there was no intent to insult you. it is unfortunate you feel that way, and i am not certain if there is anything i could do to remedy that. simply stating my opinion on chrome rims on a mercedes benz s class. in regards to your posting of my prior comments on this forum, i am confident that, even you, could take note of the date of those postings. saying i got a s600 for my 18th birthday was obviously a joke even being followed by a emoticon indicating such. again, it is unfortunate you feel the way you do. |
