S550 Electrical Probelms

Hello Everyone.
I bought a pre-owned 2007. MB S550 (43,000 miles) about two weeks ago and I am loving it so far. However, I encoutered two problems;

#1. The engine check light comes on while I was driving on the road. I noticed that the engine started to shaking badly when the engine light came on. I stopped on the shoulder and restarted w/ the key, then the problem seems went away

#3. I could not get the car started at the parking lot yesterday. I tried both by pushing engine start **** button and with the key several times. I finally got it started when I put the gear in "N" instead "P"

Does car have serious of electric problems or a simple electric glitch.
Have you experienced any of the problem explained the above?? any suggestion or advise?

not sure what advise i can give you, but how do you put the car in N without starting the car?

I was able to put the gear in "N" with the key.

Congrads on purchase but sorry Looks like a trip to the stealer.
Try looking throught this section, maybe you'll find something.

I hope the check engine line was not due to the balance sprocket issue. Some V8 engines were affected by that and it is an expensive repair. The CEL would have stored error codes and you need to have a dealer or good Indy with STAR diagnostics check the car. Do this soon so you don't make the situation worse... Let us know what you find out.
