Warranty
Hey BigDog, I am not a big fan of those warranty offers. I just bought a 2008 and they wanted like 3500.00 for the warranty. It is cheaper for to fix whatever I need fixed at that price. Consumer Reports does not recommend them either.

Warranty Recommendation?
Uncle Skip, thanks so much on the feedback...
I have actually had my extended warranties pay for themselves many times over... do you have any recommendations? For example EasyCare, NAC, or Preferred Warranty?

Warranty
I am told that the ASC warranty is the good one. However, I am also told that they only cover the drive train on the S-class. I would suggest taking the care to a independent shop and getting it inspected and keeping your money in the bank.

Carmax Warranty
I have the maxcare warranty on my 2003 SL500 and it has been great. I have had all the work done at my local MB dealership. My current one has paid out over $16,000 in repairs. I previously have had MB factory extended warranties and I do not like them. The MB warranties are way more expensive and the lenght of coverage in time and miles is not as good. You can get Maxcare waranties that go out to 125,000 miles and 6 years.

All,
I have a CarMax warranty (CNA is the backend provider) on my E55 and they've been fantastic. Cost me $2K and has already covered $15K in repairs all done through the MB dealer. CarMax resells warranties that are only offered through dealers so because of this all my future MB's will be through CarMax so I can get their warranty. Feel free to PM me for more details, but I HIGHLY recommend you get an extended warranty through CarMax. Alex
