headrests - can be removed?

Can do you remove the headrest on a w221. I am thinking of getting new headrest monitors.

Thanks

I forgot to mention I have active headrests. Will pulling them off mess up the internals motors etc?

Thanks Romini and Chris! Helped me big time!!! Turns out that you can't just "pull it up", you can break the unit that it's connected to.

Thanks chris. It was a so easy afterthe two screws. Chris quick question:

How can you bypass the headrest error? When I unplug the headrest I get an error on the dash.

I picked up a pair of xtrons headrest monitors but I cannot replace with thwir cushions. I have to use the extra monitor adapter.

Thanks

rule of thumb, when it's motorized, more than likely it's more than "just pull"
