My w221 hit a deer today

So I hit a deer in broad daylight today going about 40mph in a wooded area. Pretty good size dear adult size for sure. Luckily no one in the car hurt. Hit the dear really hard because it went flying..pretty horrific scene something from a horror flick with no exaggeration...luckly everyone was sleeping so they awaken when it was all done.

I'm sure you all heard of cars hitting deer and what damage it can do to cars. So I got out the car to inspect the damage and I'm already thinking that geez...I'll have to do my 2010 LED conversion facelift headlights earlier then I expected something that I DON'T want to do just yet ( not in my plans until next year).

To my surprise, the only thing I had was a dented license plate and deer hair all over the car. Took it to the wash..inspected again and it's like nothing happened (other then the dented plate)!

I have to stay, that I"m thankful that nothing happened, car is fine, family is fine. And I have to commend MB for creating such a solid car...

drive safe...

Dude, that's an incredible story. Happy for you and your family. And definitely send this as a letter to Mercedes Benz!

you may want to check your A/C and heating system. It may kind of smell when you turn on the fan.
Nonetheless, it's pretty minor and that story is a testament of the solid safe car we drive. Can't imagine doing too well against a deer in a Hundai or Mazda.

Hey guys thanks alot for the concern. Upon further inspection some of the paint is cracked but it seems structuraly its all good. Cracked paint barely noticable.

As for the deer i think it got up after because after i got out it was no longer there.

Chris can night vision be installed as an add on to detect people and animals?

Thanks

Steve no longer travels to do install abroad (from NL) anymore from what he told me a couple of days ago.

Something HAS to be off here.

No I wasn't going 50 and I have no idea how much the deer weighted. I didn't have a scale with me.

What's off?
