The iPod kit is worthless to me because I like to stream Pandora. Is there any way to convert the iPod kit into an AUX in 3.5mm jack?

yes there is. depends on how electronic savvy you are. i did it to mine. the ipod kit is essentially an aux in the way it is set up thus the reason it doesnt work thru the command. you can solder audio and video rca cables into the ipod wires behind the cd/dvd changer which will give you aux input for audio and video ( if you have the video enabled ipod adapter ) the only down side is you cant have your ipod plugged in at the same time as the aux because they are using the same wires. or you could get a rca switcher and have both plugged in. i did this so i could listen to pandora as well. i did mine in about an hour and ran the cables to my center console and it works beautifully. but keep in mind i do car stereo installation for a living. hope this helps

You can geta BT module that connects to the iPod cable in your glove box and you can stream what ever you want. Downside is that you lose phone connection if you have it.

Yes, but it seems the aux input remains active even if there isn't an iPod connected to it.. If i plug in a playing iPod, the music comes thru the instant i connect the iPod, and this tells me that the input remains active. I am going to try it and I will let everyone know how it went!

This item turned out to be exactly what I was looking for. It connects to the iPod cable in the glove box and turns it in to a true 3.5mm AUX. It works just as I thought it would even though the listing says it won't work on MBs!

Most of the BT streaming modules available present a second BT network. Your phone can easily pair with the MB BT for Phone Integration and the BT AUX device for streaming.

This works perfectly for me. It's a Bluetooth to iPod converter.
Once paired, all phone audio, in my case Pandora or any other internet radio streams to the car when it's set to AUX input. I am also able to skip using controls on steering wheel when cluster is on audio.
Depends on your phone and Bluetooth Software, you may have problems being connected to this and phone at the same time.

Would a Bluetooth adapter work?

HI Guys, quick question, has anyone tried or know if a SD card or PC card Bluetooth adapter would work if it was inserted in the mp3 slot of our cars? Would it then be able to pick up the signal from an iPod or iPhone and play music through there. It didn't even know they existed but I did a Google search and I guess they do. Take a look at the links below

Thanks

Very little chance this will work since this device requires unique driver software when installed in a computer. Your vehicle does not contain the software to configure and communicate with this card.
